Congressman Jim Baird (R-IN-04) invites all students, parents and school officials from Indiana’s 4^th Congressional District who are interested in learning more about attending our nation’s military academies to come to Academy Day on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Lafayette Family YMCA.

The event will include presentations from all five U.S. Service Academies with information about each academy and the admissions process.

“One of the most honorable callings in life is to answer the call of duty and serve our country in the military,” said Congressman Baird. “This event provides a forum for students in our 4^th District to gather information and ask questions on how to continue their education at our U.S. Service Academies.”

Each year, Members of Congress may nominate a limited number of students to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

This year’s Academy Day will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 9:00am-12:00pm (ET) at the Lafayette Family YMCA located at 3001 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette, IN 47905. For security purposes, please RSVP all attendees to Matt.Row@mail.house.gov, including full name, driver’s license and date of birth. The event is free and open to all 4^th District students and their families.
