Baird Votes Against Congressional Democrats’ Temporary Funding Bill
Washington,
December 14, 2022
Washington, D.C.— Today, Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) issued the following statement on Congressional Democrats’ temporary funding measure: “This short stop-gap funding bill—which expires next week— falls woefully short of what Americans deserve and is yet another reminder of Congressional Democrats’ failure to govern responsibly,” said Congressman Baird. “The American people need certainty amid soaring inflation rates eating away at their savings, not another 11th hour attempt by Congressional Democrats to narrowly avert a government shutdown. We simply cannot afford a haphazard approach to something as serious as funding the government, which is why I voted against their continuing resolution.” |
