Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) released the following statement after Charlie Kirk, head of Turning Point USA, was shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University:
“I was devastated to hear that Charlie Kirk was shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. Charlie Kirk has been a leading voice for the conservative movement for years and is a man of deep faith. Political violence has absolutely no place in this country, and I wholeheartedly condemn this horrific shooting. I thank law enforcement and first responders for their swift apprehension of the suspect, and I ask everyone to please join me in praying for Charlie, his wife, and their young children during this difficult time.”
