Baird Applauds Multi-Billion Dollar Investment in West Central Indiana

Washington, D.C.— Today, Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) released the following statement after Eli Lilly and Company, Stellantis, and Samsung announced plans to invest $2.1 billion and $2.5 billion respectively in manufacturing sites in West Central Indiana. “This multi-billion-dollar investment in our community has the potential to create thousands of new jobs for Hoosiers and secures Indiana’s reputation as a hub for innovation and advancement,” said Congressman Baird. “Thanks to the hard work of our local officials, Indiana has forged strong partnerships with world-renowned companies that will improve the lives of Hoosiers for generations to come.”
This week, Eli Lilly and Company announced plans to expand its manufacturing footprint in Indiana by investing $2.1 billion in two new manufacturing sites in Boone County. Read more here.
